Trade Counter Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused individual with a strong background in trade counter sales, customer service or a similar distribution environment. The successful candidate will be confident dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone, have excellent product and sales awareness, and take pride in delivering a consistently high standard of service.

• Deliver excellent customer service to trade customers
• Handle face-to-face, telephone and email enquiries
• Process customer orders and sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Identify sales opportunities through upselling and cross-selling
• Liaise with warehouse and distribution teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately
• Assist with stock replenishment and stock enquiries

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 34 years’ relevant experience in a trade counter, trade sales, distribution or similar customer-facing role.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and building strong customer relationships.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and sales skills, with a proactive and customer-focused approach.

Competitive salary package, negotiable depending on experience.
