Our client a leading manufacturing of premium products is currently looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be joining a growing and successful business and work alongside the senior management team within the business.

The Role

• Responsible for sourcing and purchasing the best quality materials and parts
• Raising purchase orders for parts and materials
• Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers
• Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams ensuring business needs are met
• Ensure the security and sustainability of sources for essential materials and parts
• Set, monitor, and review stock levels and adjust these if required
• Develop and implement procurement strategies
• Analyse data and reports
• Meet with suppliers to secure lead times and ensure these are being met
• Attend meetings and liaise with different departments throughout the business
• Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers
• Proactively work on reducing costs and securing favourable terms for the business
• Undertake value for money reviews of existing contracts
• Source and secure new suppliers for essential products

Essential Criteria

• A minimum of 5 (+) year experience working in procurement and supply chain
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent motivator
• Competent in making decisions
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Project management skills
