Overview

In this role you will lead the Group consolidation process to deliver timely, high-quality financial reporting and insightful commentary. You will enhance reporting processes and drive accuracy, efficiency and digitalisation as the Group grows. You’ll own the preparation and review of the Group’s interim and statutory accounts and UK subsidiary accounts, ensuring full regulatory compliance. You’ll partner with leaders across the business to strengthen control environments and support key initiatives, while developing a high-performing finance team. This is a chance to shape group-level accounting policies and contribute to a PLC’s continued growth and transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Group consolidation process and ensure timely, high-quality reporting and commentary
  • Review and enhance financial and management reporting processes for accuracy and efficiency
  • Prepare and review Group interim and statutory accounts, and UK subsidiary accounts, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Drive development of management reporting and digitalisation
  • Build strong relationships with divisional and functional leaders, providing support and challenge
  • Develop, mentor and manage a high-performing finance team and robust reporting controls
  • Partner with external auditors to support efficient audits and liaise with advisers as needed
  • Develop and maintain Group accounting policies ensuring regulatory compliance and consistency across the Group

Key requirements

  • Qualified ACA accountant
  • Experience at Manager level with leadership of complex group consolidations and external audits
  • Strong IFRS and UK GAAP knowledge
  • Proven ability to provide insightful financial analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Track record of process improvement, control strengthening and influencing senior leadership
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with multi-entity or listed/private equity-backed groups advantageous
