Overview

In this Principal Structural Engineer role, you will lead the structural design across a portfolio of water infrastructure projects. You’ll work within AECOM’s Water Team to deliver robust solutions for pumping stations, concrete structures, and foundations, influencing project direction and client relationships. You’ll mentor colleagues, drive technical excellence, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design of projects and supervise detailed design work by others
• Develop robust, efficient structural solutions for heavy civil works
• Mentor and support professional development of team members
• Interface with other design disciplines and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Prepare and review high-quality drawings, calculations, specifications and reports
• Sign-off on project deliverables with a focus on compliance and efficiency

Key requirements

• Degree or equivalent in civil and structural engineering
• Membership or progress toward membership of ICE or IStructE
• Experience delivering robust structural solutions in multidisciplinary settings
• Experience in structural design using relevant standards and specifications
