Overview
In this role you will drive the design, development and support of bespoke laser systems for highly specialised industrial applications. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to take concepts through to manufacture, installation and commissioning, ensuring performance and reliability. You’ll tackle system-level challenges from component selection to documentation and testing, delivering completed solutions on time and within budget. This position offers hands-on engineering with a meaningful impact on advanced laser technologies, in a growing company setting.

Responsibilities
- Development of bespoke laser systems including layout design and detailed engineering drawings
- Overseeing the design process to meet specifications, timelines, and budget
- Supporting build, testing, installation and commissioning with technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle
- Carrying out servicing, fault finding and ongoing technical support to sustain optimum performance
Key requirements
- Experience designing and developing complex laser and optical systems in a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of design, system integration and engineering documentation with ability to produce technical drawings
- Experience with installation, servicing, fault finding or commissioning of complex laser equipment (advantageous)
