Overview

In this Senior Project Manager role within AECOMs London Healthcare Project Management Team, you lead medium to large built environment projects from inception to delivery, while growing your specialist healthcare knowledge. You will guide project outputs, manage client and consultant relationships, and support business development. The position may require site-based work and travel across London and the Southeast. You join a global Social Infrastructure team delivering meaningful projects that uplift communities, with a focus on healthcare in the built environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of project management team outputs
  • Lead internal and external project meetings
  • Coordinate deliverables sign-off
  • Manage design teams
  • Oversee tender documents, appraisals and negotiations
  • Formulate and manage construction contracts
  • Provide financial oversight and resource management
  • Strengthen client relationships and support business development
  • Mentor junior staff and support professional development
  • Engage in industry growth and knowledge sharing

Key requirements

  • Proven healthcare sector project delivery experience
  • Experience in consultancy or healthcare organisation
  • NEC Accredited or experience administering NEC Contracts
  • Healthcare knowledge within built environment or construction
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Confident presentation skills with ability to convey complex information
  • Strong written skills for reports, actions, and risk management
  • Leadership potential and client relationship management
  • Passion for delivering high-quality consulting services

  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, APM) achieved or willingness to achieve
