Overview

In this role, you join the Portfolio Valuation & Advisory Services team to support valuation of structured products and illiquid assets. You will contribute to building and applying valuation models, conducting market research, and preparing client deliverables. The role offers exposure to a broad range of assets and direct client interaction on active engagements. You’ll work in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment with opportunities to advance into senior-level advisory work. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented analyst eager to shape valuation outcomes for complex securities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and value structured products, asset-backed loans, loan pools, and other illiquid securities
  • Determine valuation assumptions based on historical performance, collateral type, and economic scenarios
  • Apply discounted cash flows to derive value indications with appropriate market discount margins
  • Conduct market research and calibrate proprietary models with market-based inputs
  • Review and compile financial data, industry research, remittance data, and market information across asset classes
  • Prepare client deliverables such as valuation reports and pitch materials
  • Participate in due diligence meetings and respond to auditor questions on valuation analyses
  • Present valuation analyses to internal committees, client senior management, boards, and fiduciaries
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative assessments of distribution reports and financial statements
  • Assist with research on macro conditions, industry trends, and attributes of illiquid securities
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives for prospective and existing clients
  • Provide ad-hoc research and analytics to FVA project teams

Key requirements

  • 1-3 years of work experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field
  • Fundamental understanding of financial valuation theory and applications
  • Knowledge of probability and statistics
  • Strong ability to model discounted cash flows
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Team-oriented with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • High work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and interact with clients and management
