for customers across a wide range of industries.Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Field Service Engineer to their team, covering customers throughout the region with occasional wider UK travel.This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, working independently and dealing directly with customers.The RoleAs a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of sophisticated automated storage systems at customer sites.Your responsibilities will include:Carrying out inspections and preventative maintenance on automated storage systemsCompleting annual servicing and routine maintenanceDiagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faultsResponding to breakdowns and providing effective technical supportSupporting system upgrades and software updatesAssisting with the installation and commissioning of new equipmentProviding customers with technical support and product guidanceCompleting service reports and documentation accuratelyManaging your own diary, travel and workloadBuilding strong relationships with customers and representing the business professionallyDeveloping specialist knowledge of ASRS equipment and technologyAbout YouWe’re interested in speaking with Engineers from a range of backgrounds, particularly multi-skilled, with strong electrical and mechanical capabilities.You should be:Hands-on and technically mindedConfident with fault-finding and problem-solvingComfortable working independently at customer sitesCustomer-focused with good communication skillsOrganised and able to manage your own workloadProactive and willing to learn specialist equipmentProfessional and presentableAble to travel throughout the regionA full UK driving licence holderExperience with automated storage, materials handling, industrial machinery, automation or similar equipment would be advantageous, but is not essential.What matters most is having the right engineering fundamentals, a practical approach and the willingness to learn.What You’ll Get£38,000 – £40,000 basic salaryOvertime opportunitiesMonday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm25 days holiday + bank holidaysCompany van, with the option for personal useCompany laptopCompany mobile phoneFull tools and equipmentComprehensive specialist product trainingTraining opportunities in the UK and GermanyPensionLife assuranceIncome protectionAnnual discretionary bonusPaid sick leaveWork-Life BalanceDespite being a field-based position, this role offers an excellent work-life balance.Overnight stays are very rare, and weekend work is also very rare, with the normal working pattern being Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm.There may occasionally be additional travel, weekend work or overnight stays to meet customer requirements, but these are the exception rather than the norm.Interested?If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Alex Connolly on 01254 781300.SER-IN
