You will lead delivery of nuclear project initiatives at Sizewell B, ensuring safe, on-schedule execution within a client-driven, highly regulated environment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor under experienced professionals to grow your project leadership skills on large, complex programs. The role sits at the heart of EDF Sizewell B operations, shaping project strategy and value delivery. Responsibilities
- Deliver projects in line with the client PPM and baseline objectives
- Set project execution strategy with the client and lead cross-functional teams
- Ensure safety, policy and procedure compliance across the project
- Report to the client on project progress and ensure delivery against commitments
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager and client stakeholders; no direct reports
- Be based at Sizewell B Power Station with occasional travel to other UK sites
- Maintain strong communication and relationship networks within a regulated environment
Key requirements
- Degree educated in engineering or related field (Chartership preferred)
- APMP or equivalent project management qualification
- Understanding of Safety Cases, health and safety/environment legislation including CDM
- Knowledge of quality management and commercial, contractual, and financial drivers
- Experience managing projects across full lifecycle in complex, multi-discipline environments
- Experience with estimating, cost control, planning, business cases and sanction/funding papers
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with scheduling, risk tools and Earned Value techniques
- Experience in nuclear sites or power stations is preferred but not essential
