Responsibilities
- Work in a team to provide general maintenance tasks and support tradespeople on site
- Provide professional assistance and escort duties for contractors when required
- Carry out DIY tasks such as decorating, hanging notice boards, building furniture, and repairing items
- Inspect appliances and fittings, report defects to Team Leader
- Maintain housekeeping and grounds as needed, including litter picking and landscaping
- Support general FM duties as directed by the team manager
- Contribute to zero carbon programmes and strategic lean improvements
- Ensure health and safety standards are achieved across the contract
Key requirements
- Solid experience in DIY/general building maintenance
- CITB relevant certification or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work well in a team
- Prison security clearance required (Amey will support the process)
