Project Manager

Overview

As Project Manager for a major commercial development in Central London, you will lead delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring safety, schedule, quality and budget targets. You will coordinate the project team, manage subcontractors and key stakeholders, and monitor progress and commercial position. Working within a Tier 1 main contractor environment, your engineering background will drive complex delivery. This role offers high visibility on a flagship scheme and opportunities to shape delivery standards.

Responsibilities

• Overall project delivery from pre-construction to completion
• Manage programmes, budgets and key milestones
• Lead and coordinate the project team
• Manage subcontractors, consultants and key stakeholders
• Monitor performance, progress and commercial position
• Ensure delivery in line with drawings, specs and contracts
• Identify and manage risks and resolve issues
• Maintain strong client relationships
• Uphold health & safety, quality and compliance

Key requirements

• Engineering background
• Proven experience managing major commercial construction projects
• Experience with a Tier 1 main contractor
• Strong engineering/technical background
• Knowledge of construction processes and project delivery
• Programme, budget and risk management experience
• Leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Strong commercial awareness
• Construction qualifications, ideally SMSTS and CSCS
