Overview
In this role you will help build and run automated trading systems for electronic market making in FICC, balancing performance with reliability. You’ll work with engineers, traders and sales to enhance price-making and risk management on fast-moving markets. You’ll contribute to a measurable research and execution framework on a global trading floor, using cutting-edge tech to solve complex market problems. This is a dynamic, cross-functional environment where you shape scalable, low-latency infrastructure and strategies.

Responsibilities
- Analyze trading system performance and identify improvements
- Generate ideas for system enhancements to boost commercial performance
- Implement, test and deploy new ideas
- Improve safety and reliability of trading systems
- Collaborate with team members across functions
- Balance short-term business needs with strategic enhancements
Key requirements
- Strong academic background in Computer Science or an analytical field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc.
- Strong software engineering background
- Ability to analyze data and draw useful commercial conclusions
- Comfortable communicating technical topics to non-specialist audiences
- Proven history of productive interaction with sales, trading and other technology teams
- Experience building systems with low-latency and deterministic performance
- Performance tuning/optimization of distributed systems
- Know your way around a Linux shell
