Overview

In this role you will support town planning and consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects, shaping consent strategies across regimes. You will work within the Infrastructure Planning Team to advise clients and coordinate consent applications, contributing to multi-disciplinary delivery. You’ll engage with statutory bodies, stakeholders, and internal teams to secure approvals and support project delivery. This is a client-facing, impact-driven position in a global firm that values innovation, inclusion, and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support town planning and consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs)
  • Provide technical advice to clients and manage consenting requirements
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of consent applications under Town & Country Planning Acts and Planning Act 2008
  • Support negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders on behalf of clients
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring others and contributing to project delivery
  • Understand project finances and bring some project management experience to consultancy delivery

Key requirements

  • Degree in town planning (or equivalent)
  • Member of (or eligible for) RTPI
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary teams delivering consents for major/national infrastructure
  • Awareness of project finances and some project management experience
  • Ability to build relationships and manage client expectations
