Senior Project Manager (ERP)

Overview

In this role, you will lead critical ERP transformation workstreams to modernise Finance, HR and Payroll services across the university. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders, implementation partners and technical teams to ensure delivery of programme outcomes. You’ll drive large-scale ERP and digital transformation initiatives in a complex environment, prioritising successful delivery and stakeholder alignment. This is a chance to shape institutional processes and scale transformation across the University of Leicester.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of ERP transformation workstreams across Finance, HR and Payroll
• Coordinate with senior stakeholders, external suppliers and implementation partners
• Ensure successful programme outcomes through effective governance and risk management
• Manage multiple priorities, dependencies and delivery milestones in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with functional experts and technical teams to deliver end-to-end processes

Key requirements

• Recognised project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP) or equivalent experience
• Proven track record delivering SAP or comparable enterprise systems
• Experience leading projects within complex IT or digital transformation environments
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with senior leaders and partners
• Analytical, with ability to manage risks and dependencies and maintain delivery focus
• Experience with large-scale system implementations and cross-functional collaboration (advantageous: SAP S/4HANA, higher education/public sector)
