Security Consultant

Overview

In this role you join Arup’s Security Advisory stream within the Resilience, Security & Risk practice to help clients identify and manage security risks across transport, infrastructure, property and government. You will deliver risk assessments, define security requirements, and develop holistic security strategies while supporting stakeholder engagement and project delivery. You’ll contribute to new business and help grow the Security Advisory capabilities in a multidisciplinary, client‑facing environment. Responsibilities

• Deliver Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessments
• Conduct Security Needs Assessments and define security requirements
• Develop holistic security strategies for projects
• Support stakeholder engagement and project delivery
• Contribute to new business opportunities and capability development

Key requirements

• Experience in consultancy, professional services or client‑facing environments advising on security matters
• Ability to deliver projects independently and communicate complex concepts clearly
• Understanding of physical, electronic and personnel security measures (advantageous)
• Eligible for UK Security Check clearance (minimum residency requirement) or equivalent
• Desirable: working towards or meeting requirements for BREEAM v7 2025 (Hea 08) or holding Chartered Security Professional or General Security Advisor registration
