Overview
As Project Director, you will lead and grow the client base in the East Midlands while delivering project and cost management on capital schemes. You will mentor and guide an internal team, oversee client engagement and strategic delivery, and help drive growth and client satisfaction. The role sits within the Midlands and Anglia Cost and Project Management team, with hybrid work from Birmingham or Nottingham. You’ll contribute to a culture of inclusion and transformational outcomes for clients and communities. Responsibilities
- Manage, grow and deliver Project / Cost Management duties on capital projects with other Directors.
- Drive business development, including winning new clients and commissions.
- Direct client engagement as the primary interface and lead/internal mentor for staff.
- Provide oversight, strategic guidance, and audit for a portfolio of projects.
- Develop collaborative relationships with clients and industry professionals.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of a client’s business and maintain client focus.
- Work independently with proactive organization and self-motivation.
- Ensure project delivery is resourced, on time, and maintains client satisfaction to secure ongoing business.
Key requirements
- Professional qualification in Project Management, Construction, Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- Chartered status with RICS/APM or similar.
- Proven ability to build long-term relationships and balance people and processes.
- Proven leadership within a Cost or Project Management environment; mentoring experience.
