Investment Analyst, Infrastructure Debt

Overview

As an Investment Analyst in Schroders Capital Infrastructure Debt, you will support senior colleagues in sourcing, structuring and executing infrastructure debt investments for institutional investors. You’ll gain exposure to themes such as essential infrastructure, energy transition and digital transformation across Europe, partnering with a specialist team. The role involves financial modelling, due diligence, and preparing materials for internal and external audiences, while contributing to ESG and impact initiatives. This is an opportunity to develop in a fast-growing asset class within a globally connected asset manager.

Responsibilities

• Support origination, structuring and execution of infrastructure debt investments
• Monitor market data and investment themes in infrastructure
• Review complex financial models and cash flow analysis
• Participate in due diligence across new transactions
• Prepare transaction documentation and supporting analysis
• Create presentations and memoranda for internal audiences (investment and reporting committees)
• Prepare analysis and materials for external audiences (investors)
• Support asset management activities including portfolio management and waiver requests
• Contribute to ESG, sustainability and impact activities

Key requirements

• Up to two years’ relevant experience within Infrastructure Debt or Equity, Project Finance, private markets, M&A or related fields
• Strong interest in infrastructure, private markets and energy transition
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex information
• Strong academic credentials, ideally including a master’s degree in finance, economics, engineering or related discipline
• Proficiency in Excel and prior financial modelling experience
• Exposure to project finance, infrastructure investment, credit analysis or transaction execution
• Understanding of ESG, sustainability and impact themes in infrastructure or private markets
