Overview

In this MEICA Lead Manager role you drive technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation for major water and wastewater projects. You coordinate design teams, oversee deliverables and ensure safe, compliant implementation from concept to commissioning. You will act as the primary technical interface with clients and partners, steering value engineering and risk management. This is a senior, cross-functional leadership position with significant impact on delivering nationally important water infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic MEICA technical leadership across disciplines
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables across design stages
  • Oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control systems
  • Support procurement with equipment definition, supplier engagement, and technical evaluations
  • Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives
  • Support construction teams with technical guidance and issue resolution
  • Oversee commissioning and handover to operations
  • Manage engineering risks, quality, and health & safety compliance
  • Act as primary technical interface with clients, contractors, consultants and supply chain partners

Key requirements

  • 10+ years of experience delivering water and wastewater projects
  • Strong MEICA background in complex infrastructure or utilities environments
  • Experience delivering projects from concept design through handover
  • Experience in Design & Build contracting environments
  • Understanding of engineering risk management, project controls and governance
  • Knowledge of commercial, contractual and procurement processes
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams
