Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor a small development team, balancing architecture work with coding and leadership (approximately 80/20)
• Oversee full delivery lifecycle with Product Owner to deliver backlog items to a high standard
• Promote engineering best practices and drive continuous improvement across the team and organization
• Develop backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot in a real-time betting context
• Champion Test Driven Development (TDD) and robust CS fundamentals
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment

Key requirements

• Strong Java and Spring Boot development experience
• Technical leadership, mentoring and coaching experience
• Proficient in Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Solid CS fundamentals (OOP, multithreading, design patterns, data structures)
• Collaborative, pragmatic communicator with stakeholder management skills
