Data Engineer

Overview

In this Data Engineer role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure to enable data-driven decisions, innovation, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures and systems
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines
• Manage data storage, backup, and recovery
• Write SQL queries to extract data for analysis
• Develop and implement data security and privacy measures
• Interface with clients and end users to gather requirements and deliverables

Key requirements

• Proficient in SQL and Python for data transformation and analytics use cases
• Understanding of data modeling and ability to design optimized data models
• 2+ years with relational databases
• 1+ year implementing data pipelines on Kafka or equivalent streaming platforms
• Ability to debug and optimize data pipelines and queries
• 1+ year systems integration experience ( networking, data migrations, API integration)
• Comfort with documentation, logging, reproducibility
• 2+ years experience with AWS S3, Athena, ECS, CloudFormation, Lambda, and CloudWatch
• Excellent presentation, documentation, time management, and communication skills; collaborative and autonomous work style
• Strong problem-solving, pragmatic and analytical mindset
