Overview

Senior civil engineering leader for Scotland-based power and renewables projects. You will shape the civil engineering strategy and oversee the function across the Power & Renewables portfolio, working with clients, designers and project teams. This role focuses on governance, design quality, and bid/tender support rather than on-site management. You will mentor engineers, drive standards, and ensure buildable, commercially viable designs across multiple projects. This is a strategic, leadership-focused opportunity to influence major infrastructure and energy delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the civil engineering strategy for the business
• Manage and mentor civil engineering teams
• Oversee civil design consultants
• Review civil designs for buildability and commercial viability
• Support bid submissions and tendering activities
• Advise project teams on technical and construction issues
• Interface with clients and senior stakeholders
• Ensure consistency, quality and best practice across projects

Key requirements
