Overview
In this role you help safeguard matchdays and events at the Etihad Campus, supporting a safe, welcoming experience for spectators and staff. You will collaborate with the Safety and Security team to plan and execute operations that protect people and uphold high safety standards. The position involves risk assessment, briefing and resource planning, and close coordination with partners to deliver compliant, well-managed events. Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and assure safety and security operations for fixtures and events at the Etihad Stadium and Joie Stadium
- Assess risk and prepare operational orders, event briefings and risk assessments
- Ensure arrangements meet the General Safety Certificate, legislation, guidance and Club policies
- Support event resource planning, including recruitment, training, deployment and welfare of staff and agency personnel
- Collaborate with Campus teams and external partners to deliver joined-up safety and security arrangements
- Contribute to safeguarding culture and escalate concerns related to children, vulnerable adults, or women and girls in line with policy and guidance
Key requirements
- Experience planning and delivering safety and security operations for large-scale sporting or entertainment events
- Comprehensive knowledge of Safety of Sports Grounds legislation and the Green Guide
- NVQ Level 4 qualification, or equivalent, in Spectator Safety Management, or substantial progress towards completion
- Ability to evaluate operational risks and provide informed advice
- Experience developing and delivering detailed operational plans and briefings
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with flexibility across event and matchday schedules
