Overview

In this Senior Software Engineer role, you will lead and guide development work within a Microsoft Dynamics / Power Platform environment, ensuring high-quality, well-documented, and integrated solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and drive projects to on-time delivery. The role combines technical leadership with business-facing responsibilities, including client communications and shaping integration plans. The opportunity focuses on modern platform stack and secure, scalable delivery that aligns with Capita’s values and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure applications on the Microsoft Dynamics / Power Platform stack
• Document and refactor complex programs/scripts
• Ensure adherence to project quality standards
• Convey client specifications to development teams
• Assist with troubleshooting and debugging
• Lead reviews of team members’ work and participate in reviews of own work
• Keep projects on schedule and meet deadlines
• Collaborate to develop and agree system integration plans and report progress
• Define complex/new integration builds and configure integration test environments
• Design, execute, and report integration test results
• Educate junior developers on best practices
• Engage in client communications and business activities

Key requirements

• PL-400 Power Platform Developer certification
• Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Power Platform stack experience
• Azure exposure (as part of Power Platform work)
• Strong documentation and handover experience
