Overview

Senior HR leader needed to shape and deliver the people agenda across a large, multi-site operation. Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the HR function and payroll team
  • Advise the Executive Team on people matters
  • Manage complex employee relations issues (conduct, performance, absence, change)
  • Support workforce and succession planning and senior-level recruitment
  • Own people policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
  • Drive consistency and continuous improvement in HR processes
  • Oversee outsourced payroll operations for accuracy and controls
  • Support growth initiatives and organisational integration
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment law and best practices
  • Use people data to inform decision-making

Key requirements

  • Extensive HR leadership experience in large-scale, fast-paced environments (1000+ employees)
  • Proven track record in high-volume employee relations and complex employment law
  • Experience overseeing payroll within HR leadership remit
  • Exposure to organizational change and workforce transformation
  • Strong commercial acumen balancing operational and strategic priorities
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive-level influencing ability
  • Hands-on, pragmatic leadership with visibility in the business
