Senior Operations Manager

Overview

You will own complex international freight operations end-to-end, coordinating air, ocean and road shipments for high-value items. In this hands-on, individual contributor role, you act as the trusted contact for high-profile clients and drive operational excellence. You’ll manage projects from quotation to delivery, ensure customs compliance, and lead cross-functional coordination to meet tight timelines. Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end international freight operations across air, ocean and road freight
• Take full ownership for projects from quotation through final delivery
• Coordinate transportation of high-value and sensitive goods for artists, galleries and exhibitions
• Ensure shipments comply with customs regulations and international trade requirements
• Oversee export operations with import capabilities
• Handle customs clearance activities and resolve related issues
• Act as primary point of contact for clients with proactive updates
• Coordinate with carriers, agents, suppliers and overseas partners
• Monitor project timelines, costs and service delivery to meet client expectations
• Identify and mitigate operational risks while maintaining accuracy
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to growth and operational excellence

Key requirements

• Extensive experience in freight forwarding and logistics operations
• Strong operational expertise across air freight with emphasis on exports
• Knowledge of import operations and customs procedures
• Customs qualification or equivalent customs compliance certification
• Experience managing complex international shipments from start to finish
• Understanding of air, ocean and road freight modalities
• Exceptional customer-facing communication and stakeholder management
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and multitasking
• Ability to work independently and own operational outcomes
