Overview

In this role, you will lead global payer access and pricing strategy for designated indications, blending strategic asset leadership with people management. You’ll partner with Asset Payer Heads and cross-functional teams to translate payer insights into actionable decisions across the asset lifecycle. You will build and guide a team of Access & Pricing Strategy Leads, strengthening capabilities and processes to drive value and patient access. This position sits at the core of early payer integration into development, evidence generation, pricing, and launch readiness, offering a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of Access & Pricing Strategy Leads with coaching and capability development
  • Partner with Asset Payer Heads to shape global payer access and pricing strategy and deliverables
  • Lead payer strategy planning, evidence generation priorities, pricing strategy development, and governance deliverables
  • Define and operationalize global access and pricing strategies for assigned indications across the asset lifecycle
  • Shape options, risk assessments, and trade-off discussions to support governance and investment decisions
  • Ensure alignment between Patient Evidence and Patient Impact to drive integrated strategies
  • Bring payer insights into leadership forums and key decision-making
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with HEOR, RWE, policy, pricing, commercial, and regional access teams
  • Champion advanced analytics, AI-enabled insights, and external market intelligence in payer planning
  • Drive governance, best practices, scalable processes, and continuous improvement in access and pricing

Key requirements

  • Degree in life sciences, health economics, public health, pharmacy, business, or related discipline
  • Significant experience in payer strategy, market access, pricing, health economics, or related pharmaceutical functions
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional initiatives and teams in global matrix environments
  • Strong understanding of payer evidence requirements, reimbursement, pricing, and access planning
  • Demonstrated people leadership including coaching and team management
  • Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, influencing, and decision-making skills
  • Experience leveraging analytics, digital tools, and AI-enabled insights for planning
