Managing Director – Manufacturing

Overview

In this role you lead a c. £50M manufacturing business with about 250 staff across UK and Europe, driving growth and profitability. You report to the Board and shape strategy, operations, and people development with a high degree of autonomy. You will couple commercial acumen with process improvement to scale the business within a wider group, under short- and long-term incentive plans. This is a chance to influence a well-established brand and deliver measurable impact across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Understand the disciplines within the business and drive development as you see fit
• Act as a business leader, reporting to the Board
• Manage Profit and Loss with autonomy (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Lead business planning, process development and staff development/reorganisation

Key requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing organisation producing electronics or related products on a B2B basis
• Proven track record of leading growth or taking a business on a growth journey
• Experience in MD/GM/Operations leadership roles joining the board-level perspective
• Ability to operate autonomously and shape the business
