Senior Consulting Engineer – London

Overview

As a Consulting Engineer, you will partner with client engineering teams to lead and contribute across the Neo4j implementation lifecycle. You’ll serve as a technical SME, providing guidance, training, and production-ready deployment support. You’ll design architectures, build prototypes, and craft proposals to align with customer goals. This role sits at the intersection of technology, consulting, and adoption of graph-based solutions to enable scalable, explainable AI and data-driven applications. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact outcomes that advance our customers’ strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to all phases of Neo4j implementation from inception to rollout
• Act as Technical Subject Matter Expert for consulting engagements
• Develop solution architectures addressing customer requirements
• Design and build prototype solutions demonstrating required functionality with Neo4j
• Prepare solution proposals for engineering and management teams

Key requirements

• Extensive experience with database technologies and data modeling concepts (preferably with big data/analytics)
• Minimum 5+ years designing and developing enterprise-class applications
• Knowledgeable in the Java ecosystem
• Hands-on development experience with APIs, messaging, and middleware
• Experience with complex data analysis and solving technical data problems
• Experience in an agile environment and DevOps experience
• Consultative role experience with complex, customer-facing projects
• Ability to mentor and educate small groups
• Ability to work independently or in a team
