Overview
As a Full Stack Developer, you will design and build cloud-based applications that support discovery work. You’ll work across front-end and back-end domains, testing new approaches and digital services tied to reform programmes. You contribute to secure, usable, and high-performance solutions from day one. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end capabilities in a modern Azure environment. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test apps using Java/Spring Boot, Python, TypeScript, and Angular
- Build and consume RESTful APIs and integrate with microservices
- Create prototype UIs with accessibility and responsive design in mind
- Explore applications on Microsoft Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, Databases)
- Contribute to DevOps pipelines, version control, and automated testing
- Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and UX designers for end-to-end delivery
- Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical documentation for discovery outcomes
- Support integration of front-end components with APIs and event-driven back-end systems
Key requirements
- Solid hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot and TypeScript/Angular in production or prototype environments
- Working knowledge of Python for API or integration scripting
- Strong understanding of Azure services (App Services, AKS, storage)
- Experience developing and consuming APIs and data exchange between systems
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks (JUnit, Jest, Cypress), and Git workflows
- Awareness of secure coding practices, OAuth/OIDC, and identity management
- Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills in multidisciplinary teams
