Overview
In this role you join Taylor Wimpey’s regional commercial team to support procurement, commercial and contractual activities on projects. You will interface with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and JV/development partners to ensure viability, cost effectiveness and quality. You’ll manage budgets, forecasts and cost reporting, and support governance processes across the business unit. Responsibilities
- Schedule and quantify materials and labour; ensure alignment with the TW Commercial Manual and Operating Framework
- Collaborate with other departments to improve cost effectiveness and project viability
- Ensure specifications/programmes are met and quality is maintained
- Process applications and payments with the Finance Department
- Assist in WIP and cash flow forecasting; monitor/recharge shared costs
- Prepare and maintain project budgets in Coins and BoQ; manage RSL valuations and on-site meetings
- Monitor cost movements, process contractor/subcontractor/consultant orders and payments, and review third-party variations
- Conduct CVR processes, cost-to-complete forecasting, and monthly cost reporting for finance meetings
- Attend relevant meetings (Pre-Start, Pre-Tender, site meetings) and input into databases (Coins, Excel)
- Carry out site valuations and ensure cost control across projects
Key requirements
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and Health & Safety requirements
- Industry-related business qualification
