Technology Business Partner

Overview

In this role you act as a senior Technology Architect and business partner for the EMEA region, shaping demand and translating business needs into architecture artefacts. You will lead discovery, define requirements, and provide architectural guidance while delivering modern data- and AI-enabled solutions. You’ll ensure alignment with global standards and governance, supporting scalable, compliant transformation. This position offers high-impact work across actuarial, finance, risk and operations in a multinational setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage early-stage intake and shaping of business and technology demand for EMEA from Enterprise Architecture
• Lead discovery, requirements gathering and analysis to define clear requirements, non-functional needs, and architectural options
• Translate business problems into architecture artefacts, including problem statements, designs and roadmap inputs
• Ensure alignment with global architecture standards and enterprise principles
• Focus on data, AI, analytics, automation and modern platforms for transformation
• Design and support scalable data- and AI-enabled solutions for EMEA
• Build and improve data ingestion and transformation pipelines
• Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and support architecture governance and decision records
• Engage with actuarial, finance, risk and operations stakeholders to elicit and document requirements
• Drive legacy modernization and AI-enabled transformation while embedding governance, data quality and compliance
• Coordinate with central and regional architecture stakeholders on intake, review and governance
• Align regional solutions with global standards, data strategy and security-by-design principles
• Offer practical architecture support across capability modelling, requirements traceability, risk and transition planning

Key requirements

• Proven experience as an Architect in insurance/reinsurance or regulated environments
• Experience delivering both strategic architecture and hands-on solutions
• Strong data, AI, and data governance focus
• Experience with architecture intake, discovery, requirements gathering, and solution shaping
• Knowledge of modern data architectures, cloud platforms and integration patterns
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks, data modelling and governance processes
• Ability to translate strategic needs into clear requirements and outcomes
• Experience collaborating with actuarial, finance or risk teams
• Willingness to perform some hands-on work for AI tooling proofs of concept
