Cyber Security Architect

Overview

In this role you will join a security architecture team within a global organisation to shape security for high-profile IT and OT solutions. You will collaborate with solution and information assurance teams to validate controls and define new security approaches in an agile, team-centric environment. The role requires delivering risk-based guidance and security by design across complex programs, with onsite delivery as needed. Responsibilities

• Define security architecture for high-profile IT and OT solutions
• Collaborate with architects and assurance teams to validate controls
• Define and implement security requirements throughout the system lifecycle
• Provide specialist security advice for risk-based mitigation
• Apply control frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS) and defensive monitoring practices
• Communicate complex solutions clearly to stakeholders and audiences
• Support on-site delivery and client-facing engagements
• Develop relationships with stakeholders, peers and subordinates

Key requirements

• Strong technical experience in at least one area: IP networking & OT, on-premises architecture/virtualization, cloud platforms/containerization, databases/LLMs, mobile technologies & application security
• Experience with threat modeling and deriving security requirements
• Ability to manage security requirements through delivery and operations lifecycle
• Proficiency in risk and threat-based design decisions
• Familiarity with protective monitoring, authentication and authorization best practices
• Knowledge of security control frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS)
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement
• Critical thinking and problem-solving in IT environments
• Flexibility to travel/onsite client work
• Previous security architecture experience desirable
