Overview
As a Digital Finance Transformation Consultant, you will co-create finance modernisation strategies with client teams, spanning processes, structure, and technology. You’ll work across multiple platforms, shaping end-to-end finance transformation rather than deep-diving into one product. You’ll engage in workshops, define problems, and present options that guide CFO-aligned decisions. This role blends advisory leadership with hands-on design in a fast-paced, AI-aware environment. You’ll contribute to scalable, platform-agnostic solutions that improve performance, insight and control.

Responsibilities
- Lead design and discovery workshops, prepping material and guiding mixed finance/tech groups to clear outcomes
- Capture and structure business requirements, define problems, and articulate cost and change implications
- Produce analyses and options to inform leadership decisions
- Design and improve core finance processes (Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Purchase-to-Pay, Acquire-to-Retire)
- Contribute to fit-to-standard and fit-gap work; translate findings into implementable process designs
- Understand enterprise structure, charts of accounts, and reporting needs; document options and rationale
- Discuss platform options (SAP, Oracle, Workday or equivalents) and support platform-agnostic decision-making
- Incorporate AI into finance processes and delivery approaches, focusing on data, controls, and process design
- Manage client relationships, scope, timelines, and set expectations while enabling agile, design-thinking delivery
- Contribute to target operating model work and the post-landing finance function design
Key requirements
- Experience across multiple ERP/finance platforms and ability to compare capabilities
- Proven ability to run workshops and discovery sessions with client finance teams
- Involvement in technology selection or vendor assessment on live transformations
- Solid understanding of enterprise structure and chart-of-accounts design
- Hands-on exposure to AI or agentic tooling in a finance or delivery setting
- Fluency in design-thinking and agile delivery methods
- Awareness of controls, intercompany, or tax considerations shaping finance design
- Professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Ownership and accountability
- Clear, credible communication across stakeholder levels
- Judgement and critical thinking amid ambiguity
- Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Workday or comparable finance platforms
- Ability to compare platforms and contribute to vendor assessments
- Understanding of finance processes and controls across R2R, OTC, P2P, A2R
