Overview
As a Site Engineer on the HS2 project, you will support delivery of civil works by coordinating site activities, ensuring safety and quality, and liaising with subcontractors and internal teams. You will manage setting out, documentation, and plan two-week look-ahead, with responsibilities spanning quality, safety, and temporary works procedures. The role offers hands-on site exposure on major infrastructure works and opportunities for professional growth. You will work within a cross-functional team focused on safe, high-quality delivery.

Responsibilities
- On-site management of works (90%), setting out, attending daily coordination meetings
- Complete site diaries and manage subcontractors
- Draft and review quality documentation and subcontractor docs
- Review WPPs/TBSs and registers
- Carry out TRM and implement safety improvements
- Plan works for next two weeks and communicate plans to Section Engineer
- Order materials and reconcile material usage
- Draft TW Design Briefs
- Complete quality check sheets
- AutoCAD experience required
Key requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Civil, Structural, or Environmental Engineering
- CSCS card
- Experience in civil engineering/infrastructure projects, ideally rail-related
- Strong understanding of safety systems and temporary works procedures
- Proficient in MS Office and engineering software (AutoCAD, Total Station)
