Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist pharmaceutical support for cancer and aseptic services
  • Clinically screen and verify chemotherapy and other specialist treatments
  • Support safe and efficient delivery of SACT and CIVAS services
  • Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services to wards and departments
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
  • Assist medicines optimisation, formulary management and evidence-based prescribing
  • Participate in service development, audit, research and quality improvement
  • Provide education, training and mentorship to pharmacists, technicians and students
  • Develop and utilise independent prescribing skills where appropriate

Key requirements

  • Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent
  • Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Completion of or expectation to complete a post-graduate Clinical Pharmacy Diploma
  • Previous experience post registration
  • Broad clinical pharmacy experience and knowledge of therapeutics
  • Experience working in Aseptic Services
  • Commitment to professional updating and formal CPD
  • UK registration and eligibility for DBS check as required
