Senior Analyst (Accounting & Regulatory Policy)

Overview

In this role you will support the development and implementation of accounting and regulatory policies across the group, ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP. You will work with senior finance and regulatory stakeholders on complex accounting matters, including acquisition accounting and regulatory reporting. The position offers broad exposure to technical accounting, policy development, and M&A-related reporting within a leading financial services business. You will contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement in a collaborative, commercially focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of accounting and regulatory policies across the group
• Assess impact of new accounting standards and regulatory developments
• Produce technical accounting papers and guidance on complex issues
• Support acquisition accounting and M&A-related reporting activities
• Assist with regulatory returns and governance reporting
• Contribute to finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
• Work closely with senior finance and regulatory stakeholders across the business

Key requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 1+ years PQE
• Background in FAAS, Technical Accounting, Accounting Advisory or Audit
• Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Experience or exposure to acquisition accounting, group accounting, technical accounting or revenue recognition
• Candidates from practice with exposure to Financial Services or Insurance clients considered
• Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex accounting issues and provide clear recommendations
