Principal Consultant – Financial Services

Overview

In this role you will own account and project delivery, lead a team of consultants, and drive continuous improvement for clients in the financial services sector. Based in London, you will be a primary contact between clients and Delta Capita within the Global Consulting team, applying deep change management expertise to deliver high-impact engagements. You will shape value for clients, contribute to products and solutions, and guide initiatives that elevate consulting excellence. This position offers the chance to influence complex programmes and partner with leading financial institutions on transformation efforts.

Responsibilities

• Own account and project delivery for clients
• Manage a team of consultants ensuring high delivery quality
• Propose ideas for continuous improvement and operational excellence
• Pipeline management including rolls offs, extensions, new opportunities, and pricing
• Articulate value to clients through contributions to products, solutions and teams
• Draft and negotiate statements of work including rates/pricing
• Contribute to internal initiatives and drive consulting expertise
• Lead client engagements with end-to-end project planning and estimation
• Support change management activities across strategy, design, analysis, build testing, and go-live
• Oversee project and team delivery to ensure successful outcomes
• Leverage knowledge of capital markets and financial services throughout engagements
• Demonstrate commercial awareness in client relationships and delivery

Key requirements

• Strong change management experience in financial services
• Proven success as Principal Consultant or similar change role in financial services
• Strong commercial awareness and delivery track record
• Leadership capability across client and internal deliverables
• People leadership and man-management experience
• Experience in Project Management and Business Analysis within Financial Services
• Led client engagements with estimation and planning
• Experience with go-live and delivery of projects and programmes
• Knowledge of capital markets ecosystem (sell-side, buy-side, market infrastructure)
• Experience with technology implementation and upgrade projects
• Ability to articulate value to clients and contribute to products/solutions
