Overview
As a Senior CAD Designer in Digital Estate & Technology, you shape the future of our estate and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders to capture design scope, create high-quality 2D/3D CAD models, and support BIM deliverables. You’ll survey buildings and use laser scanning to generate accurate 3D representations, contributing to feasibility, delivery, and operational records. This role offers impactful work within a cross-functional team and exposure to ISO 19650 practices in a dynamic, security-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to capture and manage critical design information and project scope
- Produce 2D/3D CAD designs supporting feasibility, delivery, and operational records
- Provide timely design review and BIM project support in line with standards
- Survey buildings/infrastructure using traditional methods and laser scanning to support 3D model development
Key requirements
- Experience in an AEC environment supporting BIM delivery per ISO 19650
- Proven 2D/3D CAD experience with Bentley MicroStation, AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Proficiency in visualisation software (Lumion)
- Surveying skills with point cloud hardware/software (e.g., Faro/Leica) and ability to record as-is plans
- Chartered Member of (or working towards) CIAT or equivalent
