Overview

In this role you drive the group’s data protection strategy, providing expert guidance on privacy compliance and support to the Group DPO. You will develop and maintain policies, conduct audits, and lead impact assessments to mitigate risk. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business to embed data protection in operations and design training to raise awareness. This role offers the chance to influence regulatory compliance within a global, ESG-driven firm.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on data protection compliance across the organization
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to identify risks and improvements
  • Engage with stakeholders to embed data protection principles in business operations
  • Lead data protection impact assessments and advise on regulatory obligations
  • Design and deliver training programmes for data protection awareness
  • Support operationalisation and management of the Privacy and Data Protection risk management framework
  • Assist the Group DPO and supervise Privacy and Data Protection Analyst(s)

Key requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in data protection and privacy management
  • Industry certifications such as IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, or Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection
  • Proven GDPR competency and knowledge of current data protection regulations
  • Expert-level technical knowledge in developing and implementing data protection frameworks and policies
  • Experience conducting compliance audits, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement on data protection matters
