Overview

As a skilled construction lawyer with a focus on clean energy, you will advise on complex energy projects across multiple UK offices. You’ll join a vibrant team backed by a dedicated sector group spanning real estate, corporate, finance, environment, planning, and dispute resolution. You will handle a range of matters from BESS supply agreements to EPC and O&M contracts, supporting development, acquisitions, and disposals. This role offers a clear path for progression within a leading national firm that values collaboration and sector expertise. Responsibilities

  • Lead and negotiate Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) supply agreements with manufacturers
  • Draft and negotiate EPC contracts for clean energy projects
  • Manage O&M agreements and long-term service agreements (LTSAs)
  • Address component warranties and risk allocation in contracts
  • Support clean energy project development, acquisitions, and disposals
  • Collaborate with cross-office teams including real estate, corporate, finance, environment, planning, and dispute resolution

Key requirements

  • minimum of 4 years’ experience in construction, commercial, or project work within clean energy or related fields
  • strong transactional expertise in the energy sector
  • ability to collaborate across multiple UK offices
  • familiarity with technologies such as battery storage, solar PV, wind, hydroelectric, energy-from-waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging, and district heating
