Overview

In this Disaster Recovery Analyst role, you support the DR strategy across Infrastructure and CIO applications to ensure business continuity. You will help drive testing, governance, and improvements for on-premises and cloud services, contributing to a resilient, risk-aware technology environment. The role sits in the Chief Information & Resiliency Officer area within Technology & Operations, partnering with stakeholders to deliver repeatable recovery plans and measurable service quality. This is a chance to influence resilience at scale in a customer-centric bank.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of the overall DR strategy across multiple functional areas
• Identify opportunities for automation, cost savings, and service quality improvement
• Assist in delivering DR plans and ensure governance with Santander KPIs
• Support development of enterprise technology standards and performance metrics
• Deliver DR testing for on-premises and cloud-based services (AWS)
• Contribute to governance and documentation efforts (ServiceNow, AI tools)
• Provide tech interface to business units to ensure fit-for-purpose recovery plans
• Maintain repeatable on/off-premise recovery plans
• Support operations for existing infrastructure and new DR-related tools

Key requirements

• Accountability for resilience and disaster recovery testing
• Embed resilience and recovery testing at the core of builds
• Experience as technology interface to stakeholders for end-to-end recovery plans
• Ability to build and maintain repeatable DR plans for on/off-premise tech
• Experience delivering DR plans within governance metrics
• Spanish language (preferred)
• Technical understanding of OS, database technologies (preferred)
• Understanding of DR and resiliency techniques (preferred)
• Understanding of risk management framework (preferred)
• Understanding of Regulators Operational Resilience framework and Important Business Services (preferred)
• Experience in service-focused environments (preferred)
