M&A Deals Tax Senior Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead and shape corporate tax advisory work for SMEs and entrepreneurial clients, with a strong focus on M&A activities. You will collaborate with the Partner, Head of Tax and the North’s corporate finance team in Manchester to deliver high-quality advisory services and strategic tax solutions. You will drive from the front, combining technical excellence with commercial insight to support growth and succession planning. This is a client‑facing senior role with opportunities for accelerated progression to Director/Partner within a prominent firm.

Responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory services to SMEs, start-ups, owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients
• Lead M&A related work including demergers, acquisitions, corporate restructuring, group reorganisations
• Support exit and succession planning and set up share schemes
• Collaborate with Partner, Head of Tax and corporate finance team to deliver high-standard work
• Manage client relationships and lead from an operational and client perspective

Key requirements

• Extensive experience providing corporate tax advisory services to SMEs and owner-managed businesses
• Strong M&A experience (demergers, restructurings, group reorganisations, acquisitions)
• Technical competence with strong commercial acumen
