Overview
In this role you will drive new P&C package business in the North region, balancing new business and renewals while engaging broker partners. You will work within Chubb’s technical guidelines to establish underwriting authority and deliver rapid, high-quality service. You’ll focus on middle-market opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to grow the broker pipeline and uphold underwriting integrity. This is a chance to shape the Commercial Insurance agenda and represent a respected global brand.

Responsibilities
- Underwrite, quote and convert new and existing P&C package business in the middle-market segment in line with targets
- Cross-sell other product lines to support the commercial insurance strategy
- Engage regularly with producers and BDMs to build and execute a pipeline of opportunities
- Use effective trading, negotiation and engagement to close new opportunities
- Deliver high underwriting service levels and fast response times to brokers
- Collaborate with sales, distribution, risk engineering, operations and underwriting management
- Maintain underwriting integrity per Chubb guidelines and conduct regular peer reviews
- Keep accurate underwriting records and data
- Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and build strong producer relationships
- Act as an advocate for the brand and uphold company values and standards
Key requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in property and casualty underwriting
- Proven track record in new business underwriting in the middle-market
- Knowledge of middle-market insurance segment
- Results-driven with ability to make decisions autonomously
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to high underwriting service levels and rapid response times
- CII qualifications or working towards is preferred
