Responsibilities

  • Own and shape the Commercial domain data strategy and roadmap
  • Define, prioritise and track a portfolio of high-value data initiatives
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Commercial leadership on data opportunities and challenges
  • Translate business problems into data products, analytics use cases and delivery priorities
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery squads of analysts, engineers, architects, scientists and product specialists
  • Drive adoption of data products and embed product-thinking across the domain
  • Secure resources and manage competing priorities across shared teams
  • Champion data governance, quality and compliance within the Commercial domain
  • Build strong relationships across business areas to unlock enterprise-wide opportunities
  • Develop data maturity and promote data ownership across stakeholders and teams

Key requirements

  • Significant experience in data and analytics, ideally in aviation, travel, retail, financial services, hospitality, telecoms or similar industries
  • Track record of delivering measurable commercial outcomes through data
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and operating as a trusted business partner
  • Proven success coordinating multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environment
  • Strong understanding of revenue management, pricing, inventory optimization, demand forecasting or ancillary revenue analytics
  • Knowledge of modern data platforms, ideally Databricks, with familiarity across cloud technologies
  • Understanding of data products, domain-led operating models and modern governance practices
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
  • Strong stakeholder management, prioritisation and decision-making skills
