Overview

As Ecommerce Manager you will shape the EU site experience, turning buying strategy into a compelling customer journey. You’ll own discovery, browsing, navigation, categorisation and personalised experiences to feel community-led, not merely functional. You’ll lead cross-functional collaboration to keep the site ahead of market shifts and competitors, while driving engagement and conversion. This role combines strategy, data insight and storytelling to deliver an inspiring digital retail experience for Urban Outfitters EU.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a five-person cross-disciplinary team to build an efficient, collaborative culture
  • Bridge Buying, Planning and Creative to deliver an on-brand EU digital experience
  • Set and own long-term EU site direction and opportunities for improvement
  • Own EU navigation strategy, seasonal updates, and market-specific categorisation
  • Optimise conversions through data-driven presentation of products within categories
  • Own site taxonomy and internal search strategies
  • Lead Personalisation strategy end-to-end using Dynamic Yield to improve relevance and conversion
  • Oversee content build and QA for site and app, ensuring brand consistency
  • Drive on-site UGC strategy from concept to delivery to boost engagement
  • Direct landing page layout strategy to maintain consistent, community-focused storytelling
  • Provide weekly/monthly site performance analysis and actionable insights
  • Monitor digital retail trends and competitor activity to stay ahead

Key requirements

  • Proven experience running a personalisation programme end to end, ideally with Dynamic Yield
  • Strategic mindset with ability to set direction and anticipate opportunities
  • Hands-on experience building a UGC or community-content strategy across teams
  • Strong track record of leading and developing a team and managing senior stakeholders across Buying, Planning and Creative
  • Strong commercial and analytical instincts with data-driven decision making
  • Genuine interest in digital retail, brand storytelling and evolving customer experience
