Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the commercial side of civils and highways projects within a growing, family‑run business. You will oversee NEC4 contracts, cost control, take-offs and subcontractor relationships, while supporting junior team members and helping secure new projects. The role sits at the core of delivering rejuvenation and maintenance works for major clients across London and Surrey. It offers progression toward senior leadership as the business expands.

Responsibilities
- Manage commercial aspects of civils and highways projects
- Administer NEC4 contracts and change control
- Perform take-offs, build bills and cost estimates
- Monitor project costs, valuations and financial reporting
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and negotiations
- Support and mentor junior Quantity Surveyors
- Collaborate with project teams to manage commercial risks
- Contribute to winning new projects and business growth
Key requirements
- Quantity Surveying experience in civils or highways
- Strong NEC contract knowledge
- Knowledge of Schedules of Rates and Methods of Measurement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management
- Experience with take-offs and cost estimation
- Strong time management and organisational skills
