Product Engineer, Finance

Overview

In this role, you will shape Airwallex’s global Finance function by designing and delivering an AI-enabled transformation. You’ll diagnose gaps, define a target state, and lead the technical delivery from prototype to production. You will work closely with global Finance teams to identify high-impact use cases, drive change management, and measure outcomes. This position offers high autonomy and a chance to influence finance systems and data platforms at scale, within a fast-moving, founder-like culture.

Responsibilities

• Embed with global Finance teams to identify high-impact use cases
• Define and own the end-to-end AI transformation roadmap for Finance
• Own technical delivery from prototype to production
• Codify reusable building blocks and patterns for others to reuse
• Lead change management and upskilling initiatives for tool adoption
• Track, measure and communicate outcomes to ensure accountability

Key requirements

• 5+ years of software or forward deployed engineering experience
• Strong Product Sense and commercial framing of engineering work
• Comfort with Ambiguity and ability to map technical specs from high-level direction
• Pragmatic problem solving and outcome-focused delivery
• Clear communication with core infrastructure teams and executive stakeholders
