Overview

As part of the UK HR team, you will deliver high-quality operational HR support and trusted guidance to managers and staff. You’ll coordinate People Playbook activities, maintain HR data, and ensure timely, accurate transactional work. You will help build line manager capability, promote inclusive practices, and contribute to a consistent, positive employee experience. This role offers impact across policy, engagement, and HR projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HR advice to managers ensuring policy-compliant handling of people matters
  • Coordinate and deliver People Playbook activities with accurate documentation and clear communications
  • Manage a range of employee relations cases and escalate complex issues to HRBP as needed
  • Support case work for medical declarations, sickness absence, occupational health referrals and PHI processes
  • Maintain accurate HR data and documentation, supporting high-volume transactional activity and audit readiness
  • Identify emerging people issues, flag risks early, and assist managers with policy governance
  • Support capability building for managers through guidance and coaching on processes
  • Prepare Peakon engagement reporting for assigned areas and track follow-up actions
  • Promote inclusion, engagement and wellbeing across the business with inclusive practices
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement to enhance the employee experience
  • Prepare clear HR reports and insights to support decision-making and maintain data integrity
  • Support effective communication of people updates for team meetings and divisional communications

Key requirements

  • HR advisory experience with a focus on policy-compliant, consistent people management
  • Experience coordinating HR processes and playbook activities
  • Experience handling employee relations cases with escalation protocols
  • Experience supporting sickness absence, medical declarations, and occupational health processes
  • Strong data management and documentation skills with audit readiness
  • Ability to identify risks and support managers in governance and policy application
  • Experience in building manager capability and practical coaching
  • Experience in generating engagement analytics or insights and reporting
