Electrical Critical Systems Engineer

Overview

In this role you will deliver innovative electrical design solutions for large-scale data centre projects within our Critical Systems team. You will work with a multidisciplinary group to produce design deliverables, review designs, and guide a small team, while monitoring budgets and timelines. You will communicate with clients and project teams to ensure high-quality, practical outcomes. This position offers growth through mentorship and exposure to world-class data centre design, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical designs including schematics, layouts and calculations
• Prepare specifications and project reports
• Carry out site inspections and surveys
• Develop detailed designs and contribute to project meetings
• Manage and support a small team of engineers
• Monitor budgets and programmes for projects
• Review designs and communicate with project and client teams
• Support development of less experienced engineers
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary design environment
• Take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion

Key requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng)
• Significant electrical engineering experience in critical systems or data centres
• Experience managing small to medium-scale projects and leading small teams
• Proficiency in producing electrical designs and design deliverables
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, client-facing environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Knowledge of Revit
• Site inspections and surveys experience
