Overview
As Director of Capital Markets and Funding, you will lead the design and execution of lending investments across the UK, Germany and Europe. You will build and manage direct investor relationships and structure investment vehicles to attract institutional capital. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to shape capital markets strategy and oversee transactions from origination to post‑launch execution. This role offers entrepreneurial influence in a global context with a focus on growth and diversification of funding.
Responsibilities
- Originate and incubate relationships with domestic and international investors (private investors, hedge funds, asset managers, banks, insurers)
- Design, structure and execute Capital Markets transactions and projects
- Create and structure investment vehicles and conduits for institutional investors
- Manage transactions post-launch and coordinate with legal, operations and other internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with Commercial, Strategic Business Development, Legal, Product, Operations and Communications teams
- Lead and guide complex transactions involving multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Support strategy development for capital markets initiatives
- Interact with senior stakeholders including C-suite and MD-level personnel
Key requirements
- 10 to 15 years in the banking and capital markets arena
- in-depth knowledge of structured credit and fixed income markets
- network of key buy‑side individuals
- experience at a top tier investment bank, asset manager or hedge fund
- ability to originate direct relationships with varied investors
- quantitative and analytical skillset for complex transactions

- European language skills (French/German/Spanish) valued
